The following form elements are required for all Custom Quizzes.
The button will be enabled when these 5 form elements are entered.
The following form elements are optional.
You have access to all ECGs in The ECG Quiz database for your Custom Quizzes, even if you have not analyzed them before. In the ECG Selection list, the “Diagnoses” column will display the actual diagnoses for ECGs you have recently analyzed. “Recently analyzed ECGs” refers to the ECGs currently listed in your ECG results. Diagnoses from ECGs analyzed in your Archived Datasets will not appear. For ECGs you have not analyzed, the “Diagnoses” column will show: “You have not analyzed this ECG in your current data set. Diagnoses are not available.”
You have two methods for selecting the ECGs to include in your Shared Custom Quiz:
You can begin the ECG selection process by randomly selecting ECGs using the Random Selection method and then tailor the selected ECGs by manually clicking the boxes in the left-hand column of the table to add or remove ECGs from the selected list.
To randomly select ECGs, you must first specify the Number of ECGs that will be in the Custom Quiz. The other controls in this section become active after you enter the Number of ECGs you want to select randomly. The maximum number of ECGs that can be randomly selected is 25. However, there is no limit to the number of ECGs you can include in a Custom Quiz.
Using the Random Selection process, you can also use one or more of the following options to specify the identified ECGs further. These fields are enabled after the “Number of ECGs” value is entered.
To randomly select ECGs for your Custom Quiz, set your search criteria and click the button. The ECG selection list will then refresh, preselecting the specified number of ECGs that match your criteria. Selected ECGs are highlighted in gray, with the checkbox in the left-hand column checked, indicating their inclusion in your Custom Quiz. Each time you click the button, a new set of randomly selected ECGs that fit your criteria will appear in the list.
To deselect a chosen ECG or select an unselected one, click the checkbox in the left-hand column of the table. To remove all selected ECGs and reset the fields in the Random ECG Selection form, click the button.
When you’re ready to finalize your Custom Quiz with the selected ECGs, click the button to generate it. To reset all entries and clear the selected ECGs, click the button.

When the ECG display (Figure 2) is shown for an Ordered Custom Quiz, you can customize the sequence in which ECGs are presented to users when they take the Custom Quiz. When editing the Custom Quiz, the order appears in a table format (Figure 2). The first column, labeled “Seq.,” is designated for rearranging ECGs. To change the order, simply click and drag a cell in the “Seq.” column for the ECG you would like to move. When in the “Seq.” column, the cursor will change to . While holding down the left mouse button, drag the row to its new position, and the table will automatically update to reflect the new sequence. Note that you must first create the Ordered Custom Quiz and then edit it to change the presentation order.
